Nurse educators’ guide to management
Nurse educators’ guide to management
Description
Nurse educators and managers of nursing schools function within the dynamics of their schools; professional and higher education policies and legislation; and, in South Africa, an extremely diverse society. Since they are also part of the global nursing community, the realities of international standards compound their responsibilities. Nurse educators’ guide to management acknowledges these challenges and aims to empower nurse educators and managers of nursing schools by creating awareness of areas that need to be explored and embraced to function more effectively. Nurse educators’ guide to management has been thoroughly revised to ensure relevance and currency. Four new chapters have been added, addressing the budget and financial management, management related to curriculum development and learning environments in the education of nurses, and empowerment towards school excellence.
